- Establish new channels for student recruitment and partnerships, including development of consortiums agreements and academic exchange; participation in student recruitment activities such as study abroad fairs.
- Cultivate, sustain, and advance relationships with Canadian universities to produce opportunities for faculty exchange, student exchange and academic partnerships.
- Provide in-country support as needed for faculty and student exchange programs, including creating and tapping into unique educational opportunities specific to the region, logistical support, travel arrangements, event management, language interpretation, etc.
- Play an active role in developing and maintaining an in-country agent strategy, including identifying, approaching, and training new agent partners.
- Identify and establish opportunities for articulation agreements or other types of exchange with colleges and universities in the region.
- Provide market information to help develop appropriate recruitment strategies in the region.

- Submit quarterly updates on activities and opportunities in the region and other reports as needed

Assistant State Privacy Officer:
Duties
- Develop training and outreach materials to promote data privacy for various stakeholders including elected officials, board members, administrators, and members of the general public
- Develop and improve policies related to data privacy
- Provide online and in-person training around the state on data privacy and record retention
- Suggest areas of high exposure to risk and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain critical data issues log
- Audit, monitor, and provide recommendations to improve systems and practices to ensure compliance
- Survey and compile information about privacy practices of designated government entities
- Make public and maintain information about designated government entity’s privacy practices on the Office of the State Auditor’s website
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with employees, representatives of governments, and the public
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in instructional design, business administration, law, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in instructional design
- Minimum of 3 years experience providing in-person training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate technical content to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with privacy law and policy

Provide administrative support to the Employee Relations Administrator/Chief Negotiator and other staff members. Advise and assist both internal and external customers in obtaining the tools and guidance they need to operate legally, effectively, and according to best practice. Assist with collective bargaining through research, drafting documents, and coordinating with the respective parties. Monitor, review, and update guidance documents, forms, letters, and other tools available through and published by Employee Relations. Review policies and procedures, wage adjustment requests, rule changes and other related plans or documents submitted by State agencies. Track, research and prepare various reports, meeting materials and presentations. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.

Essential Functions
Function:
To provide professional knowledge, and expertise regarding Registrar information, processing and certification of eligibility.
Scope:
Responsible for decision-making process that requires initiative and judgment related to registrar processing and to meet needs of students and parents for assigned program/process (graduation coordination, athletic certification, veterans’ certification/benefits, and residency certification).
Typical:
- Primary job functions will fall under Graduation Coordination.
- Uses discretion and independent judgment to advise and counsel students regarding required forms, application/document processing, eligibility requirements, benefits, acceptance or denial of benefits, etc. for assigned program/process.
- Processes, reviews and evaluates documentation for assigned program that may include applications, transcripts, academic documents, veterans’ forms, pending degree verification and miscellaneous forms to determine eligibility and/or benefits available to the student.
- Images and indexes paperwork and maintains student files and records for assigned program/process.
- Uses independent judgment to resolve complex problems for assigned program/process
- Assists in developing and distributing documents, requirements, general information to students and/or parents for assigned program/process.
- Interacts with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, National Student Clearinghouse, Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admission, Athletics Office, Advising, Legal Counsel, Financial Aid & Scholarships, College and Departments on current policies, procedures and regulations involving student eligibility, benefits and certification related to assigned program/process.
- Assist with gathering information and providing reports as needed to appropriate departments for assigned program/process (internal to UTSA and external that may include THECB, Veterans Administration, colleges, departments, or documentation needed for graduation ceremony, etc.).
- Stays abreast of and complies with regulations that govern all assigned program/process. Interprets and maintains knowledge of current federal, state and institutional policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to assigned program/process.
- Participates in the review, and revision of policies and procedures that govern assigned program/process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Periodic:
- Provides periodic reports as needed to leadership
- Attends state and regional meetings/conferences as necessary
- Participates in committees and/or task forces across campus as necessary
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university.
- One year of registrar, enrollment management and/or student services, administrative, student advising or related experience. Two years as a student employee in one of the area’s above may substitute for one year fulltime experience. Master’s Degree may substitute for required experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, multi-tasking skills, flexibility, and the ability to work cooperatively with others in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently as part of a productive team. Work on multiple tasks with numerous interruptions.
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

This position will be primarily located:
Hybrid-Regularly: This position will require working both remotely and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
